Video reblogged from All the Alex Bain you can handle! with 2 notes
The execution is way, way off (e.g. people in Boston aren’t obsessed with Ted Williams, who never even liked his fans or the city), but I appreciate the effort.
Things they should’ve mentioned, either because they sound funny with the accent, or for authenticity’s sake:
- The word “firepower” is incredible through our accent
- References to Tom & Jean Yawkey, and/or Red Auerbach
- Legal Seafood (for a client meeting)
- Barbara Lynch (for a really fancy client meeting, and would’ve sounded great with the accent)
- Someone has to make reference to the Charles River. That’s the second funniest thing to hear in a Boston accent after “firepower”.
- The homophobia was a nice touch, but where was the xenophobia?
Also, the end makes no sense, but whatever.
I miss that dirty water.
