TFA gives this image to all of us to remind us that it’s normal to feel not so great about teaching around this time of year.
I guess we’re supposed to be in the “Disillusionment” phase.
Here’s the trick though: I think the scale at the bottom is off. Disillusionment can last much longer than Oct-Dec. For some, it lasts from Oct of year 1 until…well, I’ll get back to you when it’s over.
Thanks for reminding me that I’m not alone in feeling crappy about teaching… ugh!
