I listened to the new song by “Owl City” just now because it was advertised alongside “Always Be My Baby” and heard the following lyrics:
I watch the night turn light blue,
But it’s not the same without you,
Because it takes two to whisper quietly,
The silence isn’t so bad,
Till I look at my hands and feel sad,
Cause the spaces between my fingers
Are right where yours fit perfectly.The image reminded me of something and for a second it sat on the tip of my tongue. Then it hit me:
I am thinking it’s a sign that the freckles
In our eyes are mirror images and when
We kiss they’re perfectly aligned
And I have to speculate that God himself
Did make us into corresponding shapes like
