ragbag: reichssicherheitshauptamt every two years, my book club publishes a conspectus which contains (among other things) statistics on all of the books that we have read thus far. this chart from the latest edition shows the longest word in each book. p.k. dick wins the prize with 25 letters of compound german insanity. notes: we read our books in themed units; hyphenated words excluded; vonnegut and yann martel are bigtime cheaters. the full conspectus is online and you can check it out if you wanna. fair waring: because my book club qualifies as a 507(k)4 secret society, most of it is heavily redacted. secondly, it is exasperatingly thorough. i apologize for this, but in all honesty, my apology is insincere.
